Major Zero

Major Zero is a Bristolian DJ who plays a whole range of electronic music, generally focusing on the bass heavy end of the spectrum. His main focus is electro and dubstep, but he also branches out into the realms of garage, drum & bass, baltimore and beyond.

He is a firm believer in the notion that a DJ set should be as diverse and varied as possible, and thus, this new mix showcases a vast range of styles and genres which would be touched upon in a typical Major Zero DJ set.

Furthermore, the set contains a number of his own productions, mashups and remixes which have been gaining more and more recognition amongst his peers in recent months.

I've been djing for just about a year now but embarrasingly only been beat matching properly since January!! after being taught one evening by Mikey J, but been working hard and playing in clubs and house parties solidly since then, 3 residencies to date Melt in York, Control in Leeds and Schmutzig in Leeds. Played/playing with Scratch Perverts, Caroline Banx, Mr Bit., Joe and Will Ask, Casper C, Mumdance, Foamo, Kissy Sell Out etc.

The mix was intended to be a mix of house and techno but taking you on a journey from minimal/tech house to big house through to techno, so sort of a builder in it builds you up through out. 2 major influences of the moment for me personally would be anything on 20/20 vision and 100% Pure.
